Growth Factors
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that harnesses the body’s natural regenerative ability. By utilising plasma derived from the patient’s own blood, which is rich in growth factors, PRP treatment enhances skin texture, elasticity and overall quality and appearance.

The PRP Treatment
PRP is typically administered via injection into the skin but can also be combined with Microneedling or CO2 Fractional Laser treatments. These techniques create micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes, during which a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to minimise discomfort.
Initially, a small sample of blood is drawn from the patient. This is then processed using centrifugation in order to isolate the PRP, which contains a high concentration of growth factors that are essential for skin renewal. The PRP is then applied either with fine needles or in conjunction with Microneedling or Fractional Laser. This allows the PRP to penetrate deeply into the dermis, promoting cellular regeneration.

What You Need to Know
When will I see results from PRP therapy?
Initial improvements become visible within 3-4 weeks, with continued enhancement over the following months.

This depends on the treatment goal. For anti-ageing purposes, 2-3 sessions per year are typically recommended, whereas scars or stretch marks require case-by-case assessment.
Is PRP treatment painful?
PRP therapy, whether administered with needle injection, Microneedling, or Fractional Laser is generally well tolerated due to the application of a topical anaesthetic cream.
Are there any contraindications?
PRP therapy is generally not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, nor for individuals with blood disorders or autoimmune conditions.
