The Procedure
Fractional CO2 Laser works through a fractional beam emission method, stimulating fibroblasts in the deep skin layers. This process boosts collagen and elastin production, leading to skin rejuvenation, tightening, and smoothing of wrinkles and scars. The procedure is performed at the clinic and begins with the application of a topical anesthetic cream that reduces discomfort. The Fractional Laser is then executed, followed by the application of a soothing cream to aid in post-treatment recovery. The entire session takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the treated area.
About Fractional Laser CO2
Recovery & Healing
Following treatment, redness and swelling are present for 1-2 days, followed by mild peeling of the skin that lasts around 3-4 days. Internal skin healing continues for several months, during which results improve significantly.
For optimal and safe recovery, it is recommended to:
- Avoid sun exposure for the next 4-6 weeks after treatment.
- Apply sunscreen with a high SPF (50+) for several months post-treatment.
- Avoid alcohol-based cosmetics and harsh exfoliating products.
Most patients resume daily activities the next day, while intensive treatments may require 2-3 days of rest.
Fractional Laser & PRP
For enhanced results, Fractional Laser can be combined with PRP therapy, which utilizes growth factors from the patient’s own blood.
The procedure includes:
- Collecting a small amount of blood of the patient.
- Processing the blood to isolate platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
- Applying PRP to the treated area through injection or topical application.
The Fractional Laser + PRP combination accelerates healing, boosts collagen and elastin production. It also enhances skin glow, firmness and youthfulness.

DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?
What You Need to Know
How many sessions are needed for optimal results?
The number of sessions depends on the condition being treated:
- For skin rejuvenation and fine wrinkles: 1-3 sessions.
- For scars, blemishes, and stretch marks: Sessions depend on severity.
How soon can I return to work?
Most patients return to work the next day, unless extensive exposure to the public is required. For more intensive treatments, 2-3 days of rest may be needed.
When is the best time of year for Fractional Laser treatment?
Due to sun sensitivity, Fractional Laser is ideally performed between October and April. If done in summer, strict sun protection (SPF 50+) is required.
Is the procedure painful?
No. Topical anesthesia minimizes discomfort. Most patients report a mild warming sensation and slight tightness.
Can Fractional Laser remove pregnancy stretch marks?
- Red (new) stretch marks usually respond well to treatment.
- White (old) stretch marks may show limited improvement but results can be enhanced by combining PRP or fractional RF therapy.
Are there areas where this treatment is not recommended?
The treatment is suitable for almost all areas. In sensitive regions (e.g., around the eyes), special lower-intensity protocols are used.
